Student Activities Business Programs, Services and Initiatives provides registered student organizations with the tools, resources and guidance to operate under sound business practices and principles. SOLID workshops are provided, addressing topics such as keeping financial records; maintaining budgets; generating deposits, disbursements and adjustments; and managing events. In addition to working with student organizations, Business Services supports the purchasing and financial needs of the Department of Student Activities and provides financial advice and guidance to the Student Trustee Organizations and Regional Campuses.
Student organizations now have the ability to collect money and sell goods and services online. Sales that can be run through the service include the pre-sale of food and merchandise, conference registration, and dues collection. To request an online sale, please complete the 'RSO Online Marketplace Request Form' located on UConntact under the 'Forms' tab. To inquire about hosting an online sale, please contact Business Services at least one week prior to the start date of your sale.

After Hours Drop Box
Located across from the Student Union Information Desk, the After Hours Drop Box allows student organizations to drop off transactions when the Student Union is open. Plastic drop bags (that can be securely fastened) must be used and are available at the Drop Box. Make sure that the proper forms are completed. When dropping off a deposit, be sure to include a completed Deposit Slip, all funds, and all verification. The Treasurer of the organization will receive an email the next business day regarding the status of the transaction. For more information, please contact our office.
